Australian Cancer Incidence and Mortality (ACIM) books for NSW
The Australian Cancer Incidence and Mortality (ACIM) workbooks provide information on cancer incidence and mortality in NSW, including trends, age specific rates, and cancer risk.
To view a list of all ACIM books for NSW in Microsoft Excel file format, please click here.
All files are provided in Microsoft Excel file format (.xls) and are approximately 1.3MB.
Please note, statistics on incidence and mortality reported for NSW residents in the ACIM books are reported using the Australian Institute Health and Welfare definitions (as used in the Cancer in Australia report). These definitions differ from those routinely used by the Cancer Institute NSW in several aspects.
- Groupings of cancers using ICD-10 may vary slightly. Refer to the ICD-10 codes in the User Information tab for details.
- Incidence statistics are based on primary invasive neoplasms as defined using the international rules for multiple primary cancers (IARC, 2004), while the Cancer Institute NSW generally reports using an older version of these rules (WHO, 2000)
