Area Health Service (AHS) Networks

The NSW Cancer Trials Network supports the development of individual Area Health Service (AHS) Networks to ensure the needs of differing AHS are identified and met.  This structure streamlines the conduct of clinical trials across all units within each AHS, and incorporates all clinical trial positions funded by Cancer Institute NSW research programs.

Each AHS Network will have in place a Management Committee, chaired by the Director of Clinical Cancer Research (appointed under the Clinical Cancer Research Support Grant). Management Committees will include clinical trial investigators, clinical regulatory affairs officers and representatives from the AHS. The committees will develop strategic plans to improve the quality and quantity of clinical trials across the AHS Network.
