National Tobacco Campaign Revised

National Tobacco Campaign

National Tobacco Campaign

The Cancer Institute NSW has revised the highly successful National Tobacco Campaign, which was developed as part of a Commonwealth state and territory health initiative in 1997.  The updated National Tobacco Campaign makes a stronger connection between the smoking-caused diseases and the graphic health warnings on cigarette packs.

Each 30-second television commercial communicates the immediate health consequences of smoking and prompts smokers to put quitting on today’s agenda with the theme Every cigarette is doing you damage.

Revised versions have been developed for:

  1. Artery
  2. Brain
  3. Tumour
  4. Eye
  5. Lungs
  6. Tar

National Tobacco Campaign Health Benefits
A series of 15-second television commercials were developed to communicate the immediate health benefits of quitting; with the theme Every day without cigarettes is doing you good

These include:

  • Artery Health Benefits
  • Brain Health Benefits
  • Eye Health Benefits
